Wood-coloured kitchen with island wood-finished
If the words "wooden kitchen furniture" take you straight back to the past, you urgently need to take a look at this kitchen. This project signed by the architecture and interior design studio NOBO and carried out by our distributor Nivel 2 Muebles is a clear example of how wood can create a multitude of atmospheres. Do you like what you see? Come in, we will tell you the secrets of the impressive kitchen of a no less impressive house in the mountains of Extremadura.
It's easy to see. Oak is the absolute protagonist of this project. All the kitchen furniture is made from it. It is our Vera model in matt sail finish. Its fronts have the particularity of being profiled with a fine and subtle frame that slightly reduces the organicity of this material and reinforces the straight lines to give a contemporary air to the furniture.
This modern aesthetic is reaffirmed by the inclusion of elements in black, such as handles, exposed appliances, the sink and taps.
All the appliances, with the exception of the oven and microwave, are panelled to maintain the uniformity of the whole.
To add luminosity and a natural look, a cream tone has been chosen for the worktops, which have a texture that reminds us of stucco; matching the walls and floor. A great success to reaffirm the feeling of tranquillity that pervades the whole room. The handmade rattan stools that we find on the island give the final touch to achieve a relaxed atmosphere.
As for the layout, we would like to point out that this is a semi-open rectangular kitchen (two of its sides face the garden and the living room, respectively), which is why we have opted for an L-shaped layout. The central area is masterfully dedicated to the kitchen island and a table that creates a cosy dining area.
