If you have already discovered that the perfect layout for your kitchen is in parallel (or on two fronts) but you still have design doubts... you've come to the right place!

This type of layout is very versatile, being perfect both for closed spaces (whether elongated or square) and for opening up the kitchen to the living room, installing an island or peninsula in one of the linear units to articulate the two rooms.

Faced with so many options, it is normal not to see some details clearly. That is why today we bring you the best projects of kitchens distributed in parallel from our distributors to inspire you.

Of course, before you start designing your kitchen in parallel, remember that the minimum width it should have is 2.5 metres, which guarantees a distance between both fronts of 1.2 metres, which is necessary to open the units without the doors colliding.

    ready? Get some ideas!

    Sistema Cuina

    Opening up to new possibilities

We begin with the kitchen that heads the cover of this blog. This project, signed by our Catalan distributor SIstema Cuina, is a clear example of open space.

On the wall-mounted wall unit we find the cooking area and floor-to-ceiling columns to maximise storage. In front of it, a spectacular island where, in addition to storage furniture, the sink has been installed. In addition, the worktop extends to create a breakfast bar area.

This black kitchen integrates perfectly with the rest of the room thanks to the black wood effect finish and the stone worktop with the cladding.

Although there are two different types of flooring, the transition is natural as it is under the kitchen island.

    Antares

    Transforming space

We continue with black (which, by the way, is still in trend), but we go to the opposite concept.

The interior design studio Antares proposes a closed kitchen distributed in parallel, perfect for the space available. Although it is elongated, it is wide enough to make movement in it comfortable.

Our distributor and his client wanted to make the most of the storage capacity with floor-to-ceiling units. To lighten the visual weight, they have chosen to combine different finishes including wood effect and play with different depths in the wall units.

Finally, they have left an open space from which a small breakfast area unfolds.

    Sistema Cuina

    Classic and cosy

A similar scheme has been followed by Sistema Cuina in this project. The washing and cooking areas are concentrated on the same front of this kitchen in parallel, leaving the other for the column units in which the oven and a microwave unit have been integrated.

In this case, our distributor has opted to lighten the visual weight through colour (white marble and light grey furniture) and leaving part of the wall free for high storage, where he has installed some hanging shelves.

In addition to the wooden floor, the use of neutral colours, the fronts with mouldings (our Lagos model) and the shell handles add a cosy touch.

Estudio de arquitectura VMV y Confort Kitchen

    Integrated, but delimited

We end our article with another open concept kitchen. This is a project designed by the Sevillian architectural studio VMV and installed by our distributor Confort Kitchen.

Here the particularity is that one of the walls on which to house the kitchen is considerably longer than the other.

Therefore, in the larger one they wanted to include not only the cooking area, but also large pieces of furniture with a large storage capacity, creating a compact design.

Opposite, attached to the wall, we find the sink (which cannot be seen if you enter from the living room!) and base units. To extend this line, they have installed a peninsula with a bar and four stools to create a meeting space.
