We will never tire of saying it: kitchens are not what they used to be. In a relatively short time, they have gone from being a place for work and hidden from the rest of the house to being the busiest area, the heart of a home.
And we are not only referring to open concept kitchens, but also to closed kitchens: we want to feel at ease in them, to work, but also to rest and even to have fun.
This is why the protagonist of this article, the display cabinet, has become increasingly important and popular. On the one hand, on the one hand, it fulfils its storage function, but also its decorative functionfor example, it facilitates the visual transition between the cooking area and the dining or entertaining area in open-plan concepts.
They are also very useful in small kitchens where we want to make the most of every last centimetre, as they provide lightness without losing storage capacity and without the disadvantage of open shelving, where dust accumulates on the exposed utensils.
This type of furniture has traditionally been associated with more classic and even rustic kitchens. However, thanks to the variety of designs that we can find today, the glass cabinet can be perfectly integrated with any style.
For example, in our case, all our finishes have the option of being converted into display cabinetsboth wood, lacquered and laminated. We simply create a recess in the doors and fit a glass.
You can choose between five types of glass (transparent, matt and three with textures), so the combinations are almost infinite!

But the glass cabinet goes much further. It has been redefined and can now be found in numerous pieces of furniture, both high and low. A very popular trend at the moment is to incorporate them in the furniture that makes up the kitchen islands.This is very useful for reducing visual weight, especially in large and/or dark-coloured units:
It is also very common to find them in column furniture, from floor to ceiling, very effective when it comes to separating atmospheres or giving a more contemporary character to more classic or rustic designs.
