We have good news: white kitchen furniture goes with everything, especially if it has a sleek, minimalist design. But there's also bad news: it makes the choice even more difficult, among so many options.

If you've already chosen your plain white furniture (a timeless bet, no doubt) and you've already got 10 boards on Pinterest with inspirational ideas for the floor but you still can't make up your mind, this article is for you.

Just think about what final style or atmosphere you want for your new kitchen and we'll tell you what flooring you need. Here we go!

    Warm atmosphere

One of the big "buts" of white kitchens is that they can be too cold. But if you remember our article "Tips to give warmth to your white kitchen"this only happens if you don't take into account some design aspects.

The first of all: include natural materials or materials with this effect: wood, raffia, bamboo... Any material with earthy tones or touches of earthy colours will be enough to create a cosy atmosphere.

In this aspect, the floor plays a fundamental role, as except in the case of extremely small kitchens, it will occupy the largest visible surface area of the kitchen.

So, if you are looking for a warm feeling, go for wooden floors or floors that simulate this material (there is already a wide variety of porcelain floors with this effect on the market).

Do you like the idea but want to give it a little twist? Then give it literally, and make it a 45º turn. Or, in other words, lay the tiles in a herringbone parquet style.

    Vintage style

The good thing about white furniture without handles is that you can use your creativity without limits for the rest of the elements: tiles, chairs, wallpaper, floor tiles... your imagination is the limit when it comes to colour and patterns (although we recommend not to include too many different design patterns, unless you are very clear about it).

    Sistema Cuina

This is great news for all lovers of tiles, which bring that unique vintage feel to any room. You can put a single design, as in the example above from our distributor Sistema Cuina, or play with different types of flooring to create "carpets", as in this project by Antares.

This second option is very effective when it comes to visually delimiting the space in open concept kitchens. And not only effective, but also very convenient if we have knocked down a partition wall and the floors of the pre-existing rooms do not match or are missing tiles.

    Extreme minimalism

We think we can all agree that a white kitchen floor can become our nightmare, especially if there is a cook in the family.

If you don't want to spend your life wiping up every drop of water that falls on the floor so you can show off your kitchen total whitethen here is our proposal: cream-coloured, almost white floors.

This is a very interesting option if you don't want to give up the luminosity and aesthetics of white floors, but eliminating a large part of their disadvantages in one fell swoop.

Moreover, they are available in a wide variety of materials, finishes and tones, so that you can choose the one that best suits your lifestyle.

    An industrial look

looking to give your kitchen an industrial look? Then microcement flooring (or tiles that simulate this material) is for you. Although we are starting to see them in lofts and commercial spaces, this material has now conquered almost every room in the house, including the kitchen.

And no wonder, it is very versatile and resistant. Moreover, it not only serves to create an industrial atmosphere, but also works as a "neutraliser" for other materials. That is to say, using it is a good idea when we don't want to add more visual noise because there are already other elements with a lot of presence in the room.

For example, this project by our distributor NM Cuines, a great expert in combining contemporary and rustic atmospheres. In this case, the grey tiled floors were the perfect choice to give prominence to the stone wall and the wooden beams on the ceiling.
