We can't hide it: the combination of white and wood is one of our favourites for the kitchen. Not only because it is a timeless aesthetics perfect for kitchens with quality furniture that will last for many years; but also because it is the perfect mix of warmth and brightness.

If you think the same and you are going for white with wooden details; this article is for you. And we will do it taking as an example a spectacular project of one of our distributors in Catalonia: Expocuina Girona.

In it, they have opted for one of our bestsellers: the Berlin model; laminated with the base in MDF board and super matt lacquered on the front face.

don't miss a single detail of this kitchen!

    Simplicity and harmony

If there is one thing that makes this Expocuina Girona design stand out, it is its sophisticated minimalism.

The white furniture without handles offers a modern and tidy appearance, while the wood in the islands (yes, plural!) provides visual balance and a sense of comfort.

This colour palette is complemented by two other neutral tones that avoid decorative overload and help to enhance this harmony: mink in the worktops and wall coverings and the stainless steel of the gola profiles and the American refrigerator.

    Lighting: a key factor

Lighting plays a key role in this kitchen.

For general lighting, recessed spotlights have been installed in the ceiling to distribute the light warmly and evenly.

To complement the lighting scheme, our distributor has opted for the integrated system under the wall units, which generates a floating effect and enhances the elegance of the design (as well as providing strategic light over the work areas).

If you want to achieve a similar effect in your kitchen, opt for warm lights that highlight the texture of the wood and add warmth to the ambience. Y

    Integration of appliances

In this kitchen we find a good balance between technology and aesthetics.

On the one hand, we find the large two-door refrigerator which, despite its dimensions, is visually integrated into the whole thanks to the incorporation of stainless steel in other elements of the kitchen, such as the gola profiles, the skirting boards or the oven that we can find on the main island.

The rest of the electrical appliances have been panelled to visually merge them with the furniture.

Wooden worktops for a natural touch

Wooden worktops on the islands not only add warmth not only add warmth but also create an attractive contrast to the white of the furniture.

We are particularly struck by the one on the central island, which creates a cosy and functional focal point.

    Aesthetic continuity in the floor

The wooden floor in this design reinforces the warmth of the whole and creates a seamless visual continuity. If you prefer a more resistant option, you can choose porcelain floors with a wood-effect finish, which combine aesthetics and durability.

    A multifunctional island

Kitchen islands have become an essential element for those looking for functionality and style. In this design, the island serves multiple purposes: extra work space, storage area and side table for informal gatherings. To further optimise its functionality, you can incorporate stools.

Decorative elements that make a difference

When it comes to decorating kitchens like this one, sometimes less is more.

In this Expocuina Girona project, the decorative details are discreet but effective: a small plant on the worktop to add freshness and fruit bowls and glass jars add an organic touch without cluttering the space.

If you want a similar effect in your kitchen, choose elements that are functional and made from natural materials or fibres, such as glass, raffia or more wood.
