if you have lots of ideas but not enough space, we'll come to the rescue! We are convinced that, if well planned, a small kitchen can be as functional, cosy and beautiful as a large one. We invite you to stop seeing size as a limit, but as an opportunity to express your creativity and make the most of every corner without giving up the style you want.
To prove it to you, today we show you three examples from those who know best about kitchen planning: our distributors. Read on to discover that a small kitchen can be very, very versatile.
Open, compact and connected to the living room
The first kitchen is a perfect example of how a kitchen can be visually and aesthetically integrated without losing an iota of functionality.
It is a project signed by the Donostia-based interior design studio APAL and it is a compact space, with the work and storage areas distributed in parallel.
The great differentiating detail in this case is that this kitchen communicates with the living room through an open space in which they have installed a bar where you can eat facing the living room. This element not only expands the sensation of space, but also acts as a connection point between both rooms: perfect for having breakfast, chatting while cooking or enjoying a coffee with views of the living room.
APAL
For the furniture they have used our Vitoria model in bone tone, an infallible bet to gain luminosity and visual amplitude without losing warmth. This sensation is accentuated thanks to the inclusion of an open wall unit from our Amazonas model, with an oak effect finish.
The worktop also features neutral, light tones, giving a sense of continuity, while the integrated extractor hood and under unit lighting complete the clean, well-resolved aesthetic.
A small kitchen, yes, but open to the home and with a lot of prominence. Designed to coexist, flow and make the most of every centimetre without sacrificing style.
A kitchen for passing through
The second project we bring you is also signed by APAL and, curiously, it uses again the Vitoria model in bone colour and they have included details in oak wood, but the result is quite different.
Here, the kitchen fits into a more closed space and presents a parallel distribution. On one front we find storage and the cooking area; and on the other they have arranged the sink, a column that houses the oven, microwave and extra storage and the fridge, which is perfectly integrated into the furniture.
APAL
The great protagonist here is undoubtedly the floor. It is a floor with a geometric pattern in blue tones in the style of hydraulic tiles that brings rhythm, personality and a point of contrast to the whole. Far from overloading the atmosphere, this resource helps to visually frame the kitchen and give it its own identity.
Small, practical and with character. This kitchen shows that it is the details that mark the personality of a space even in the most compact spaces.
Neutral tones and lots of functionality
Let's change tack. The last proposal we show you is from Nivel 2 Muebles. Our distributor has also opted for the Vitoria model, but this time in an off-white tone, combined with the Amazonas model
Here, neutral and warm tones predominate, which they have also used in the worktop and even in the sink, creating a calm, well-balanced and Mediterranean-inspired atmosphere. The set is taken to another level by including handles and taps in a brushed gold finish, which adds a very subtle tone of elegance.
